Season 3 of The Witcher is finally here and that means there are plenty more monsters for Geralt of Rivia to hunt down.

*WARNING: Spoilers ahead for The Witcher season 3* — As a professional monster hunter, Henry Cavill’s Geralt is no stranger to facing off against all manner of beasties but season 3 of the Netflix series sees The Witcher contend with some of the most fearsome creatures he’s ever crossed paths with.

Episode 1 | Jackapace

The first episode of the new season features a jackapace, a creature unlike anything existing Witcher fans will have seen as it appears to be a new creation for the show.

Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri cross paths with the beast when attending a party after the fire mage Rience lures the creature to attack them.

The jackapace takes on the appearance of an enormous woodlouse with armor-like plates covering its back. To travel at greater speeds, the monster curls up into a ball and rolls around.

It’s a strange sight but it certainly makes for an unsettling creature.

Episode 2 | Flesh Monster

Episode 2 features the most disturbing monster we’ve come across in all three seasons of The Witcher.

The Flesh Monster, as it’s being called, is made up of a mess of human body parts after at least three – perhaps more – young sorceresses from Aretuza were taken prisoner and experimented on.

Geralt discovers the creature when investigating an underground cavern below a castle where the fire mage Rience had been taking refuge, although the type of magic being practiced there is far beyond his skill set.

Attached to the wall of the cavern are the disembodied heads of the three sorceresses whose minds are seemingly linked with the writhing mass of arms, legs and torsos. One by one, the three heads perish as Geralt deals attacking blows to the Flesh Monster.

Episode 3 | Wyvern and the Wild Hunt

The third episode of season 3 sees Ciri encounter a marketplace showman who is attempting to masquerade a young wyvern as a basilisk – a creature we saw briefly in the season 2 finale.

Wyverns are lizard-like creatures that often get mistaken for dragons in the world of The Witcher. While they may be able to fly, wyverns do not breathe fire, instead preferring to target enemies with the venomous stinger in their tails.

The scene is a reference to both The Witcher books – where Ciri has a similar encounter- and a minor quest that players will experience in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video game where Geralt happens upon a showman trying to pass off a young wyvern as a basilisk.

Episode 3’s final scene also features a brief encounter with the Wild Hunt, a group of spectral knights that TV fans will also have seen briefly in the season 2 finale.

Led by an individual named Eredin, the Wild Hunt are actually a band of elves sent from another world to capture slaves, although they have since set their sights on Ciri due to her elder blood and magical powers.

Seen as an omen of war, the Wild Hunt typically travels as a ghostly projection in the sky but when needed, can take corporeal form and hunt their prey on the ground.

As one of the big-bads in the world of The Witcher, we can expect to see the Wild Hunt causing their fair share of trouble as the show progresses.

Episode 4 | Aeschna

The fourth episode in The Witcher season 3 includes a feisty encounter with an aeschna, a water-dwelling creature.

Scholars in the world of The Witcher long disputed the existence of aeschnae as they were once quite rare but they began to thrive in the polluted waters of the Pontar Delta where the creatures grew big enough to snatch people and livestock from passing ships.

Geralt and Ciri barter their way onto a ferry in season 3 with the promise of protecting the vessel from the creatures should one attack.

In the books, aeschnae share similarities with praying mantises but the TV version of the creature appear as something more akin to an oversized and mutated newt or salamander.

Season 3 of The Witcher arrived on Netflix on Thursday, June 29, 2023, while volume 2 will follow suit on July 27.

'He'll be here': Manager convinced 25m star will not join West Ham

Manager Nigel Pearson is still convinced Alex Scott will be a Bristol City player next season despite reports that Premier League outfit West Ham United have entered talks this month. 

Wishful thinking, perhaps?

It’s probably safe to say that Pearson’s iron-clad confidence will not necessarily be shared by everyone of a Bristol City persuasion, especially after The Standard reported that West Ham United had opened talks with Alex Scott’s camp around a week ago. 

Scott’s £25 million asking price looks likely to keep Wolves out of the conversation (The Telegraph). West Ham, however, could soon have a wad of cash the size of the River Thames burning a hole in David Moyes’ back pocket, with Declan Rice set to become the most expensive player in Premier League history if he seals his potential £105 million move to Arsenal.

Nonetheless, Pearson remains confident that he will still see the so-called ‘Guernsey Grealish’ strutting his stuff at Ashton Gate again in 2023/24. 

“I expect him to be here, and he’ll be here,” a bullish Pearson tells Bristol Live. “That’s how I approach the situation.  

“When you’ve got players who are potentially on clubs’ wishlists, I think that’s a very positive thing for us because we’ve got good players.”

Scott, the Championship’s Young Player of the Year, still has a further two years left on his Robins contract.

The Mail said a few weeks back that West Ham were reluctant to meet Bristol City’s £25 million asking price. And, even if that changes in the event of Rice’s departure, Pearson insists that the South West club will not be bullied into a sale. 

“We’re not in a hurry to sell anybody. That’s the bottom line. I think there is always going to be speculation about somebody with his amount of talent, and we know a number of Premier League clubs have been monitoring him,” adds the former Leicester City boss.

“So what? 

“No one has yet put a bid in. And in all honesty, if they do, I’m a football manager. That’s up to the powers that be here to make that decision as to whether it’s an acceptable deal or not. Even then I think our owners are very keen for us to try and keep our best players.

“He’s our player, he’s here, and I’m looking forward to him playing for us again this season. Simple as that.”

Trolls don't know Madonna pledged $1 million toward the development of Covid-19 vaccine

Unsolicited opinions about the Covid-19 vaccine are on the rise after Madonna was rushed to the hospital due to a bacterial infection on Saturday, June 25, 2023.

Madonna‘s manager confirmed she is still under medical care and a “full recovery is expected”after she was reportedly found unresponsive. As there are no further updates available on the singer‘s health, social media users have taken it upon themselves to debate if the singer was a supporter of the vaccine or not.

Madonna donated $1 million for Covid-19 vaccine development

For the unversed, Madonna pledged $1 million towards Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s efforts to make the Covid-19 vaccine.

In a video shared in April 2020, she said: “I’m joining the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation effort to find a drug that will prevent or treat Covid-19. We need this to protect our health workers, the most vulnerable, and all of our friends and families.”

In the Instagram post, she called out people for believing claims made by sensational headlines about her health and the speculations about her opinion about the same.

“And just to clear things up for people who would rather believe sensationalist headlines than do their own research about the nature of this virus— I am not currently sick.”

“When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show but at the time,” she added.

Fans slam baseless claims

Madonna has never publicly spoken about getting the vaccine. She instead said there’s “no debate or discussion” over vaccines due to the fear of cancel culture.

However, some Twitter users have taken the liberty to form assumptions about the singer’s personal life, and that has angered her fans.

One tweeted: “People are saying Madonna is in the hospital because of the vaccine booster. Come on people. One side says every death is Covid and the other says every death is caused by the vaccine. Everyone is gaslighting at this point.”

“How do the vaccine and bacterial infection even intersect? I’m calling bollocks on this one,” wrote a second one.

A third one said: “Never heard that Madonna was anti-vaccine. Not sure who would care either.”

Some anti-vaxxers believe Madonna is sick from the shots designed for Covid.

“Covid-19 vaccine takes down Madonna,” said one.

Another claimed: “Infections also caused by the Covid19 vaccine”

As opposed to what many believe, health experts have confirmed the Covid-19 vaccine can’t cause you to become infected with the virus.

Singer was treated after being found ‘unresponsive’

Madonna was reportedly rushed to the hospital and intubated after being found unresponsive on Saturday. According to Page Six, the singer was “intubated for at least one night before having the tube removed.”

Her manager revealed she will have to pause all her commitments until she fully recovers, which also means her upcoming world tour will be postponed.

The statement shared by her manager reads: “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection, which led to a several-day stay in the ICU.”

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

Madonna has postponed her upcoming tour as she’s recuperating from a serious bacterial infection, and sick trolls have decided to use this as an opportunity to falsely speculate that the singer is “dead’.

Madonna was reportedly rushed to the hospital and intubated after being found unresponsive on Saturday, June 25, 2023. Her manager, in the latest update on the 64-year-old singer‘s health condition, said she’s still under medical care and a “full recovery is expected.”

Madonna isn’t dead as misleading tweets go viral

Madonna spent a couple of days in the intensive care unit as she recovered from a serious bacterial infection, and the singer is still under medical care. So, there’s no reason to believe any claims about her being dead despite all the misleading tweets on Twitter..

She was rushed to the ICU in a New York hospital on Saturday and she was “intubated for at least one night before having the tube removed,” Page Six first reported.

Her daughter, Lourdes Leon, is said to have been by her side “throughout the ordeal.” Her upcoming tour will be postponed as she focuses on her health at the moment.

As Madonna is receiving medical care, it isn’t clear if she has been discharged from the hospital. No further details have been shared.

Celebration Tour 2023 to be postponed

Her manager said, including the Celebration Tour, the singer will have to pause all of her commitments. The rescheduled dates will reportedly be made available soon.

The upcoming global tour will be showcasing her “unmatched” catalog of music from the past four decades or more, while several special guests will be accompanying her on all dates.

The tour was scheduled to kick off in Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 15 and conclude in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on December 1.

She released the trailer for the tour in January, teasing several famous faces including Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob The Drag Queen, and Amy Schumer among others.

Madonna’s fans worldwide are praying for her speedy recovery as they can’t fathom anything happening to the iconic musician.

An ex-staffer in the Trump administration has claimed in a new book that the former president spoke about his daughter Ivanka’s breasts, backside, and what it would be like to have sex with her. But who is the author of the book, Miles Taylor?

In his new book called Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy from the Next Trump, Miles Taylor, a former aide, has made several claims about Donald Trump.

An extract was obtained by Newsweek, in which Taylor claimed that there are still “quite a few female leaders from the Trump administration who have held their tongues about the unequal treatment they faced in the administration at best”.

Miles Taylor claims Trump spoke about Ivanka’s ‘breasts’ in new book

Also in the book, Taylor alleges that aides said Trump talked about Ivanka Trump‘s breasts, her backside, and “what it might be like to have sex with her”.

These remarks allegedly led to John Kelly reminding Trump that Ivanka was his daughter, Taylor said.

HITC has reached out to Donald Trump’s representatives for comment.

Ivanka, 41, is the eldest of the former president’s two daughters and is a businesswoman.

In 2006 when appearing on The View, Trump was asked how he would react if Ivanka posed for Playboy. He said: “It would be really disappointing — not really — but it would depend on what’s inside the magazine.”

Trump went on to say that his daughter had a “very nice figure” and then said: “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

Who is Miles Taylor?

Miles Taylor is a former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security and a national security expert who works in Washington D.C.

In 2019, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal by the Secretary of Homeland Security, which is the Department’s highest honour for efforts to protect Americans against emerging threats, according to his LinkedIn page.

During his time as chief of staff, he published an anonymous whistle-blowing essay in The New York Times about presidential misconduct. He later revealed himself to be the author and published his book A Warning.

Taylor has also launched a campaign of ex-officials to oppose Trump’s reelection.

He was educated in the UK at Oxford University as a Marshall Scholar and at Indiana University as a Harry S. Truman scholar.

Romano claims 28-year-old no longer a priority Spurs signing as Liverpool target eyed instead

Tottenham Hotspur are not proceeding with a move to sign Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet on a permanent basis.

Clement Lenglet could miss out on a permanent move to Tottenham Hotspur as the Premier League club look elsewhere.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Lenglet is no longer a priority for Tottenham in this transfer window.

Reports in Spain have been adamant that Tottenham are pushing to land Lenglet permanently after spending last season on loan in North London.

Lenglet started 24 Premier League games last season but didn’t exactly make a huge impression as he split time with Ben Davies.

SPORT claimed this time a week ago that Tottenham had made progress in talks with Barcelona over signing Lenglet.

However, Romano now believes that Tottenham are ‘not advancing’ on a deal for Lenglet and it’s simply ‘not a priority’ now.

Romano claims that Tottenham are instead focusing on Edmond Tapsoba and Micky van de Ven as their new centre back targets.

Tottenham better off going for Micky van de Ven than Clement Lenglet

Van de Ven makes more sense as an alternative for Lenglet given that both are left-footed centre backs.

That profile has been on the rise in recent years and Tottenham really need to find their left-footed defender of the future.

Lenglet just isn’t that player.

The 28-year-old was a decent enough stop-gap for a year whilst Barcelona paid a portion of his hefty wages.

Tottenham must now move on and aim higher – or at least look a little more long-term as they look to build under Ange Postecoglou.

Van de Ven fits the bill at just 22, he is huge at 6ft 4in tall and possesses outstanding speed as well as being comfortable on the ball having played at left back in his career.

The Dutchman will be more expensive than Lenglet but Tottenham need to make an investment in that position rather than a short-term stop-gap.

Signing Van de Ven won’t be easy – iNews reported in May that Liverpool are interested too – but Spurs seem to be placing a keen focus on him.
