After Donald Trump announced on his social networking platform that he will be arrested on “Tuesday of next week”, a number of memes have been making the rounds on Twitter, including AI-generated images of the former POTUS running away from the police.
A grand jury in Manhattan is hearing evidence about whether or not the former president falsified business records in relation to the hush money sent to an adult film star in 2006, even though the act itself isn’t illegal.
And now, people are imagining Donald Trump running away from cops before the jury has even voted in the favor of charging him with a crime. There are also memes that show the ex-President being escorted by cops after getting arrested, which is also fake.
AI-generated pic of Donald Trump running away from police goes viral
A picture generated by artificial intelligence of Trump running away from cops has become Twitter’s major source of entertainment while the jury is seriously looking into possible misdemeanors by the former President of the US.
The picture shows Trump clad in a suit, being chased by multiple police officers. The viral image is accompanied by more hilarious AI-generated photos.
In another picture, Trump is seen being carried away by the police, in a manner very similar to the real picture of Greta Thunberg’s brief detention in a German village a few days after she turned 20.
However, none of these images are real and you can expect to see more variations of the same scenario on Twitter.
Meme leaves Twitter in splits
Twitter users think Artificial Intelligence generated images of Trump evading the police are too funny, with many adding their own narrative to the imagined scenarios.
“AI technology is insane. Those pictures of Trump look so real. I can’t stop laughing,” said one.
Another said: “Oh that one of Trump running away made me LMAO. I also thought of Biden dismounting bikes.”
“That AI pic of trump being dragged is so funny. Same vibes as the activist that was carried out of the protest with all fours,” wrote another.
“Does this remind anyone of Thunberg in Germany a few months back?” asked another.
One comment read: “I just noticed in that third AI image, Trump has three legs lol.”
Some, however, fell for it and believed those images were real.
One tweeted: “AI is really getting scary cause all day I’ve been seeing people think those Trump arrest pictures are real.”
“AI is doing wonders, for a split second I thought this was real or just a dramatic stunt pulled by the man himself #Ai #Trump,” said another Twitter user.
What happens if the former President is indicted?
People are curious to know whether Trump will get arrested if he’s indicted. To be indicted means being charged with a crime base on the grand jury’s decision.
Once the charges have been filed, an individual may be placed in handcuffs and arrested or they can choose to turn themselves in.
If someone refuses to surrender, the person charged will be extradited from their residence.
Indictment and arrest will follow hearings at the courtrooms, in this case, in Manhattan, if the grand jury files a charge against Trump.
Thereon, depending on the arguments and evidence, the judge decides the further proceedings, including whether Trump needs to pay bail or not for his release.
