Joe Biden’s age has been well documented, though some people are only just realizing a rather interesting fact about him and Mick Jagger.
If there’s one thing social media is good for, it’s providing useless factoids you can use to amaze your friends who don’t spend their whole lives looking at their phones.
It’s well established that United States President Joe Biden is no spring chicken, but a recent discovery about him and Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger has raised some eyebrows online.
Twitter works out weird fact about Mick Jagger and Joe Biden
Chances are, when you woke up this morning, you didn’t expect to be reading a titbit about Barrack Obama‘s former VP, and the man who sang Paint It, Black.
But, as pointed out on Twitter, our new favorite fact is that President Biden is actually older than Jagger, whom it feels has been in the limelight for an eternity.
While they clearly hail from different backgrounds and went down separate paths in their lives, both Biden and Jagger first launched their careers in the 1960s, though it’s safe to say the president has a slightly more active work life than Jagger, these days.
As the saying goes, you learn something new every day.
How old are Mick Jagger and Joe Biden
We’ve established that there’s a gap of around eight months between the pair, when were they actually both born, and how old are Biden and Jagger?
Starting with the youngest first, Jagger was born on July 26, 1943, in Kent, England. That makes him 79 at the time of writing, and we’re sure he’s got some pretty big plans in the pipeline for his 80th this summer.
Biden on the other hand was born on November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. That means he is 80 years old at the time of writing and will be just shy of 82 when the 2024 Presidential election begins in early November 2024.
Biden is often mocked online for being in office in his eighties and is regularly called out for mispronunciating words, or appearing to look tired or disinterested while on duty.
Biden determined not to let age stop him
Despite the hard time Biden often gets for his age, the 80-year-old Democrat doesn’t appear to be letting the criticism get to him.
On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, Biden formally announced that he would be running for a second term in the Oval Office come November 2024.
If Biden were to be elected, he would resume his position in office aged 82, and would and would be 87 by the time he officially stood down from the role in January 2029.
