Jurgen Klinsmann has stated that he is ‘very happy’ as the South Korea boss after he was asked about the Tottenham Hotspur manager’s job.

The Spurs legend was watching Scottish Premiership giants, Celtic, dismantle Kilmarnock on Sunday, as he was in attendance to watch rising star, Hyeongyu Oh.

Given that the Spurs job is up for grabs and Daniel Levy is looking for a new face, Jurgen Klinsmann was asked if he had been approached for the role.

The 58-year-old has managed Germany, Bayern Munich and the United States – to name a few – during his days in the dugout, without a standout gig – there is now talk that he is a shock candidate at Tottenham.

Given his connections with Spurs, it’s understandable that his name has been talked about, but he dismissed it all, whilst talking about the club’s stoppage-time defeat to Bournemouth, as he told Sky Sports Football (16/04/23).

“Of course, their result was disappointing because it was a massive game for them in the fight for the Champions League spots,” said Klinsmann. “It’s a tough period for Spurs right now. But I think they will get through it. And I hope they finish in the top four.

The German legend is then asked by the reporter: ‘They haven’t asked you to help out yet as the manager, have they?’

Klinsmann responded: “No, no, no worries. I am very happy with my role with South Korea.”

TOTTENHAM NEED A REBUILD

The first quality Tottenham’s next manager has to have is the ability to play attacking football.

Whether that individual is a trophy-winning coach or not, is pretty irrelevant because, the last two coaches, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, have departed empty-handed.

But, whilst Daniel Levy has made many mistakes over the years, one thing is for sure, he won’t hand the keys to Klinsmann because, whilst he is a Spurs legend, he’s not the answer to their manager problems.
