The Late Late Show with James Corden will be coming to an end soon, but when is the last episode?
James Corden has been hosting the Late Late Show for over 16 years and his departure from it is just a couple of days away.
The television host has seen celebrities such as Adele, BTS, and more come to the show and his last episode is going to be no different.
When is James Corden’s last episode?
The last episode of James Corden’s Late Late Show will be airing on Thursday, April 27.
The episode will see Harry Styles and Will Ferrell. At the same time, there is also a pre-show that will have Blackpink interacting with the television host.
Also, Tom Cruise will be performing the final sketch for the show. Taking to Instagram, James revealed a sneak peek of their Timon and Pumbaa act.
Why is he leaving the show?
James decided to leave the show because he wanted to move on and focus on different things in his life. As reported by TV Line, James had admitted in the past that there were several occasions when he thought about leaving.
However, after much thought, he came to the conclusion that now was the time to make the big leap.
He said: “It’s been a really hard decision to leave because I’m so immensely proud of the show. I’m thrilled to be extending [for a year]. I always thought I’d do it for five years and then leave, and then I stayed on. I’ve really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure.”
CBS supports his decision
Minutes after James announced his exit, CBS also came forward with a statement of its own where it wholeheartedly supported the television host’s decision.
CBS president and CEO George Cheeks said: “Seven years ago, James Corden came to the U.S. and took television by storm, with huge creative and comedic swings that resonated in a big way with viewers on-air and online. We wish he could stay longer, but we are very proud he made CBS his American home and that this partnership will extend one more season on The Late Late Show.”
