Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Ryan Mason has praised Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, a player Spurs have been linked with.
Martinez was in action for Aston Villa in the Premier League match against Tottenham at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.
Unai Emery’s side won the match 2-1.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Martinez, who has been linked with Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United, was one of the best players on the pitch.
The £20 million (The Guardian) Argentina international goalkeeper made saves to deny Harry Kane and was massive at the back.
Martinez was commanding in his area and was always reliable between the posts.
The Mirror have reported that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all are interested in signing the 30-year-old, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, in the summer transfer window.

Mason said: “I thought they were better than us in the first half, although I don’t think Fraser made too many big saves, because he didn’t have to, but they were definitely the team that had a bit more.
“I thought that changed in the second half. I felt like we were the team that were pushing a bit more.
“We had a big moment at 1-0 where their goalkeeper pulled off an outstanding save but then, I’m not how long afterwards, they scored from a free-kick, so it’s disappointing.”
Impressive
In our view, Emiliano Martinez is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and is a big player for Aston Villa.
As the Argentine showed against Tottenham, he is someone defenders can rely upon to make the important saves.
We believe that Martinez would make Tottenham a better team and more reliable at the back.
