Lizzo recently became a victim of a death hoax that convinced a few that she died. However, the singer is alive and well in 2023.

Social media has become one of the main sources of information for people. Unfortunately, this has also led to several fake news emerging online. Recently, the news claiming Lizzo died had been making rounds. Previously, celebrities such as Oprah WinfreyTom HollandDwayne Johnson, and others have been a victim of death hoaxes as well.

Lizzo is not dead, singer is alive and well

The news about Lizzo started surfacing online due to a fake news article. With the headline reading “Lizzo dead at 31,” the short article notes that it is “breaking news.”

The snippet for it reads: “Hit artist Lizzo dead at 31 rising to fame creating songs Like “Truth Hurts” and “Good As Hell” she dies of a heart attack in her sleep doctors say that she had a problem in her bones for a lack of calcium and they gave her pills to kill the pain and they say that’s what caused the heart attack. In love and memory of are beloved Lizzo may she rest in peace.”

However, the singer is alive and well in 2023. The fake news report is made on a prank website where users are given the freedom to develop any news headline and use it to confuse their friends.

What is the singer up to these days?

Lizzo recently found herself in hot waters after a couple of her background dancers filed a lawsuit against her alleging a toxic work environment and sexual harassment claims.

However, the singer was quick to break her silence on Instagram and slammed these comments. In her post, she said: “I am not here to be looked at as a victim, but I also know that I’m not the villain that people and media have portrayed me to be these days.”

She ended the post by writing: “I’m hurt but I will not let the good work I’ve done in the world be overshadowed by this. At the moment, it looks like the singer is taking a break from social media.
