Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have reportedly welcomed their second baby and fans have taken immense interest in finding out their newborn’s name as sources close to the couple have dropped a hint surrounding the moniker.
Rihanna and ASAP Rocky welcomed their first son in May 2022 and named him RZA Athelston Mayers; the first name inspired by the leader of the Wu-Tang clan. The couple hasn’t revealed what they call their secondborn, but they sure have many options to choose from as fans try to find the celebrity baby the apt name.

Rihanna and ASAP reportedly welcomed their second son earlier this month, sources with direct knowledge told TMZ. They claim the moniker for their second child starts with the letter R.
The baby was reportedly born on August 3 in Los Angeles. No further details are made available and the couple hasn’t made the news official yet.
RiRi announced her second pregnancy during the halftime show for Super Bowl 2023. She showed off her baby bump at the very beginning of her performance, reminding many of Beyonce‘s announcement live on MTV when she was pregnant for the first time.
She appeared with her baby daddy at the MET Gala looking radiant and displaying her baby bump in style. The singer said her second pregnancy was very different from the first, with no cravings and “tons of nausea”.
The second pregnancy and ASAP’s reference to his baby momma as his “wife” during a show sparked wedding rumors too, but they haven’t addressed the speculations.

Owing to the name of the first child, fans can’t help but wonder if the couple would be inspired by yet another famous personality or music group to name their second son after.
One fan suggested the names of the Hip Hop icons Raekwon and Rakim Allah.
They wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Alright, boys and girls. They’re saying Rihanna had another baby boy and that his name starts with an R. Do we think the name is Rakim Allah or Raekwon?”
“What if Rihanna names their 2nd baby Rae? short for Raekwon since they have the hip-hop name theme? I feel like that would be cute whether it’s a boy or girl,” added another.
A third fan said: “I bet Rihanna’s new baby’s name is Rohan”
“If Rihanna’s baby name is not GZA ion wanna hear it,” wrote another.
One comment read “Rihanna (Robyn) Rocky (Rakim) RZA I wonder what R name this baby boy will get.”
Meaning of RZA and how to pronounce it
When court filings revealed Rihanna and ASAP’s firstborn’s name to be RZA, those unaware of the Hip Hop group Wu-Tang Clan were itching to know its meaning and how it’s pronounced.
The name is pronounced as “Rizza” and it is a tribute to the leader of the group its name is an acronym – Witty Unpredictable Talent And Natural Game.
RZA’s is also a slang that expands to Ruler Zig-Zag-Zig Allah, meaning “Ruler, Knowledge-Wisdom-Understanding, Allah,” according to Urban Dictionary.
