TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent does not think that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal would sell Bukayo Saka to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for £150 million.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has said that Arsenal would turn down an offer of £150 million from Premier League rivals Liverpool for Bukayo Saka.
Bent made the comments when suggested a hypothetical scenario.
The pundit was asked if Liverpool sold Mohamed Salah for £200 million and bid £150 million for Saka, then whether Arsenal would sell the winger.
Bent said that Arsenal would not sell the 22-year-old.
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson said this past weekend that Liverpool should sell Salah for £200 million now and then offer Arsenal £150 million for Saka.
Al Ittihad have been linked with Salah and could reportedly make a bid of £200 million for the Egyptian after having an offer of £150 million turned down last week.
Arsenal tipped to turn down any potential Liverpool bid for Bukayo Saka
Bent said on talkSPORT: “No. Arsenal just wouldn’t sell him. Arsenal would say no.”
The former Tottenham striker continued: “Every player has got a price on their head, of course, but for £150 million, I can’t see Arsenal wanting to sell because who would you replace him with?”
The pundit added: “I don’t think they would, not in the way Arsenal are trying to get through this season.
“I can’t see it.”
Arsenal cannot sell Bukayo Saka
Arsenal simply cannot sell Bukayo Saka to Liverpool or to any other club.
Not even for £150 million.
No way.
Saka is one of the best young players in the world and is a key figure at Arsenal.
And he is only 22 now.
The England international has the potential to become a world-class winger in the coming years.
After years of struggling to even challenge for the UEFA Champions League places, Arsenal are now among the contenders for the Premier League title.
There is no way that the Gunners can sell one of their most integral players, especially in the middle of the season in January 2024.
Saka has made 139 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The young winger has scored 33 goals and given 27 assists in those games.
