Episode 3 of Loki season 2 features a scene where Miss Minutes flirts with Victor Timely and to say Marvel fans have been ‘disturbed’ by it is an understatement.

*WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Loki season 2, episode 3* — The Loki TV series has featured several unconventional relationships since it began, the most notable being the tense romance between Loki and Sylvie, a female variant of himself. Now, season 2 of the Disney+ show has presented Marvel fans with a relationship that manages to climb to a whole new level of strangeness.

The unlikeliest of love triangles

Episode 3 of Loki season 2 introduces viewers to Victor Timely, a variant of TVA founder He Who Remains, as Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes contact him in the 1800s.

In several scenes throughout the episode, particularly towards the end, it appears that romantic feelings are developing between them, with both Ravonna and Miss Minutes seemingly flirting with Timely.

Despite being a cartoon clock, Miss Minutes seems to have deeper feelings for Victor as she gets noticeably jealous when Timely passes a sculptured paper flower to Ravonna.

Miss Minutes openly flirts with Victor Timely

In a later scene at Victor’s hideaway, with Ravonna out of the way, Miss Minutes openly flirts with Timely and admits her romantic feelings towards him as a variant of her creator, He Who Remains.

She showers Victor with compliments, begins talking in a slower and more flirtatious voice and even blushes when speaking to him.

“When you first created me, long before the TVA or a Multiversal War, I was just a simple AI. Just something to play chess with,” she begins to say. “But you knew I could be more for you, so you gave me autonomy to write my own programming.”

“I was allowed to have wants and to follow whims and become who I am,” she continues. “And still, each night we played chess and talked.”

Victor interrupts, calling her a “loyal friend,” in an effort to friendzone her – or whatever the 19th century equivalent is.

“More than friends. The war, the TVA, the eons after. I, alone, was by your side,” Miss Minutes responds. “But there was one whim you never allowed me. Why didn’t you allow me a real body?”

If the conversation wasn’t already disturbing enough at this point, Miss Minutes then floats over to a group of mannequins and projects her face onto one of them.

“If I had a body, we could truly lead together,” she continues in an infatuated voice. “You never even tried. With all your powers and all your abilities, you just kept me as your thing. Your computer, your toy. Instead of what I could have been. Your girl.”

Loki fans ‘disturbed’ by Miss Minutes’ flirting

It’s safe to say that the scenes of Miss Minutes flirting with Loki have left Marvel fans feeling rather uneasy, with many taking to social media to offer their thoughts.

One fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote: “I’m deeply disturbed. Miss Minutes really tried to flirt… with a variant of Kang / He Who Remains.”

While another asked: “What the hell is this show, why is a flying clock trying to flirt with a man?”

“Miss Minutes programming herself a sex drive so she could flirt with Victor Timely,” said this viewer. “Like please gurl no, have some restraint you creepy tick tock.”

Another fan joked: “Imagine being some guy from the 1800s and having an AI clock flirt with you.”

“Miss Minutes flirting with Victor Timely was not on my bingo card for Loki S2 lol,” laughed this fan.

And finally, this fan commented: “Miss Minutes flirting with Victor Timely is one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen 😭 LOOK AT HER CHEEKS.”
