Applebees has re-released their fan-favorite one-dollar margaritas but they’re not a permanent fixture. Here’s how long you’ll have to bag the booze.

In a world where cocktails will cost you at least $15 a pop, Applebee’s has come to save the day.

The restaurant chain has announced the return of their famous Dollaritas – yes, their $1 margaritas – just in time for the spooky season. Or shall we call it boozy season?

How to get Applebee’s one-dollar margaritas

Dollaritas are available in all Applebee’s locations right now. The company announced the beverage comeback on October 1, 2023, the same day that it was released.

Customers who are aged 21 and over can enjoy the refreshing alcoholic drink made with tequila, triple sec, and lime. It is available for dine-in only.

An advert set to Ozzy Osbourne‘s Crazy Train hit the internet two days ago. Titled, “You asked. We delivered,” it refers to the high customer demand for the wallet-friendly drink.

“The number one reason we decided to bring back the Dollarita is because it is the number one thing our guests are asking for us to bring back,” says Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer of Applebee’s. “It receives thousands and thousands of requests to come back to the Applebee’s menu and into our restaurants. We really wanted to provide a level of enjoyment for the people who are huge fans of the experience.”

Dollaritas were last seen on the nationwide menu in 2019. It made its debut in 2017 and lucky locations in Texas had their brief margarita fix in January 2022.

How long are Dollaritas on the menu?

The boozy beverage will only be on the menu for the month of October.

If you want a break from the back-to-back margaritas, Applebee’s has also unveiled their limited edition “Spooky Sips” in honor of Halloween.

Priced at $5 each, the concoctions are named Dracula’s Juice – a frozen drink made with Jose Cuervo Tequila and Bacardi Superior – and Tipsy Zombie, a green and blue-colored brew with Bacardi Superior, passion fruit, pineapple, cherry, lime, melon liqueur, and a gummy brain garnish.
