After thrashing Crystal Palace 5-0 at Saturday lunchtime, Arsenal fans would have been tuning in to the evening game and Ivan Toney’s return.
The 27-year-old returned from his eight-month betting ban by scoring a free-kick and helping his Brentford side end their five-game losing streak by beating Nottingham Forest.
Even though the Arsenal faithful would have been delighted by their team’s attacking performance yesterday, you just know that many of them would have been still screaming at their club to sign Ivan Toney.
But it wasn’t just the Arsenal fans who were watching the in-demand striker in action yesterday because David Raya was also tuning in, as he posted on his Instagram story.
The Spanish goalkeeper is on loan from Brentford and he reacted to Ivan Toney marking his return in style.
After a free-kick on the edge of the area, the England international did amazingly well to get it around the wall and into the back of the net – that equaliser set the tone for his team to go on and eventually win the match.
It also saw David Raya post a three-word message on his IG story which simply read ‘never in doubt’.

It’s pretty obvious that Brentford will sell if the price is right. Plus, Toney has been hinting that he would be open to a move this month, as he told Sky Sports.
This is just a case of whether Arsenal have the money to splash the cash on the player and if the Bees would accept an offer this month.
Despite that win yesterday, Thomas Frank’s side are still in trouble and they should be looking over their shoulder when it comes to the relegation battle.
Now, with Toney in the XI, if he stays at the club, then it’s pretty obvious that they stay up, but if he leaves, then it massively increases their chances of going down.
So, whilst Arsenal fans crave for that number nine, and Toney in particular, they might just have to wait until the summer for him now.
