Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are now among a pack of eight clubs checking out Leeds United talent Crysencio Summerville in view of his transfer, HITC understands.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a sensational season so far at Elland Road as the Whites chase promotion back to the Premier League. He has amassed 25 goal involvements in 37 outings to see Leeds sit second in the standings – only three players have influenced a greater total.
Daniel Farke has relished the 17 goals and eight assists that Summerville has offered Leeds this season. No Leeds player has influenced more goals than the Dutchman, who also ranks fourth in the Golden Boot race. But Summerville’s output has put an array of sides on alert.
Liverpool and Tottenham among clubs monitoring Crysencio Summerville
HITC can reveal that some of Europe’s biggest clubs have taken notice of Summerville, who has 18 goals and nine assists through 40 appearances across all competitions for Leeds this term. Several Premier League and European clubs may also be ready to test Leeds’ resolve.
Sources have confirmed to HITC that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham United have all checked out Summerville in recent months. The forward has also impressed the Premier League teams hugely. But they are not alone in showing interest in his displays.
Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Porto are also monitoring Summerville’s progress at Leeds. He has arguably been the Whites’ star player this term as the West Yorkshire team targets an immediate return to the top-flight with the Championship title also in their sights.
Leeds United plan to hold contract talks with Crysencio Summerville
Leeds currently have Summerville under contract at Elland Road until June 2026, having last extended his terms in August 2022. But HITC also understands that the Whites plan to open talks about a new deal if and when the club secures promotion back to the Premier League.
Summerville continues to show in the Championship why Leeds want to extend his contract and why teams from Chelsea and Atletico Madrid to Liverpool and Tottenham are studying a transfer. He has scored a flurry of spectacular goals, including away to Watford last Friday.
The winger cut inside from the left wing to finesse a strike into the far, top corner of the net at Vicarage Road. He drew Leeds level at 1-1 before going on to draw 2-2 at Watford, whose boss Tom Cleverly described Summerville as an ‘absolutely outstanding’ player afterwards.
