Defensive additions could be vital for Tottenham Hotspur this summer with a new right-back seemingly high on the club’s list.
One player who has been linked with a move to the Lilywhites is AS Monaco’s Vanderson, who can fill in at right-back or centre-back.
Writing on X, Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade has claimed that Tottenham have made their move for the defender but have not opened talks with the French side.
Monaco are demanding a reasonable fee of £34 million for the Brazilian but that is a figure that Spurs may not be able to pay.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from Tottenham for the past few months.
Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid have been linked with the Danish midfielder and his agent has spoken about Hojbjerg’s future at Tottenham.
As per Fabrizio Romano on X, Hojbjerg’s agent, Luca Puccinelli said: “A player like him will surely be part of a club with great ambition or project because he is not just a strong player, but with a character made to fight for important things every year.
“I am working on the many requests that we have already received, yes; but we will analyse all the possibilities after the Euros, during the holidays when we will spend some time together and then look forward to the next chapter”.
Emerson Royal
Monday’s edition of Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport carries an update around the future of Emerson Royal.
The Brazilian defender has been linked with a move to AC Milan and the Italian newspaper claims there is an ‘agreement in principle’ between Milan and Royal’s representatives.
All that is left before the deal is completed, according to the report, is an agreement between Spurs and Milan for the defender.
Next week could be an important one to get the deal over the line, according to the report.
Eberechi Eze
Last on our update is Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze, who has been linked with a move to the Lilywhites.
Football Transfers claims that Spurs are set to meet with the representatives of the English midfielder next week.
Eze is unlikely to push for a move away from South London this summer but would like the opportunity to speak to Spurs if the club’s agree on a fee, according to the report.
