HITC understands that Joshua Zirkzee has agreed to join Manchester United.
Manchester United have been growing with confidence about finalising a deal for the Bologna striker in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old is currently at Euro 2024 with The Netherlands, he came off the bench during his side’s quarter-final win over Turkey and now they will face England in the semi-final.
It will provide Manchester United fans with a real chance to see what he is all about if Ronald Koeman hands him minutes because he has only played three minutes so far.
Ex-Old Trafford loan striker Wout Weghorst is the first change for the Dutch, with Joshua Zirkzee also playing behind the likes of Memphis Depay.
AC Milan miss out on Joshua Zirkzee
AC Milan had been leading the chase and had agreed to pay Bologna the player’s release clause of around €40million (£34million).
But as the Italians pushed for a quick decision, the striker and his team stalled over completing a deal to the San Siro.
This allowed Zirkzee and his team to asses all options open to him and, as HITC previously revealed – the player’s choice of club would be based on their plans for him, rather than being financially motivated.

HITC confirmed earlier this week that Zirkzee had been impressed with what he heard from Erik Ten Hag about his role within the squad, and sources have now confirmed to us that the Dutch international has decided he wants to move to Old Trafford.
We are told that Manchester United have held talks with Bologna, who have insisted on his clause being paid in full due to the fact that Bayern Munich are due 50% of the deal as they have a sell-on clause.

It won’t be the only payment that Bayern get from United in the coming weeks as HITC can also confirm that they are progressing with their with the Munich giants over Matthijs De Ligt.
De Ligt, like Zirkzee, has agreed to join United and it will be a permanent move as Bayern are set to accept a deal worth similar to Zirkzee at around £34 million.
Manchester United are anxious to finalise both deals this week, but that might be delayed due to medicals, which will be dependent on how long The Netherlands’ Euro 2024 commitments last.
