Tottenham Hotspur are warming up their engines pretty nicely for another eye-catching, entertaining and drama-filled season.
On Saturday, Ange Postecoglou watched his players record a 2-0 pre-season friendly win over Championship side, Queens Park Rangers.
Only days ago, Tottenham secured a pre-season victory over Hearts for their summer opener and now they have made it two wins in two.
Yves Bissouma and Dane Scarlett were the goalscorers – with both of their strikes coming at the end of each half.
Once again, it was a mix of Postecoglou giving opportunities to young stars and his senior players also trying to impress.
It also needs to be noted that a few players are still away after national duty. Giovani Lo Celso won Copa America with Argentina, alongside Cristian Romero.
Whilst Micky van de Ven endured a difficult Euro 2024 with the Netherlands, after he failed to start a match and they were knocked out of the semi-finals by England.
Van de Ven might be resting up now, but he is still watching Tottenham in pre-season from afar.
The Dutchman scored a couple of tasty goals during his debut campaign in the Premier League, so he knows a thing or two about quality goals.
Bissouma’s opener against QPR was outstanding following his driving run, one-two with Dejan Kulusevski, before he continued his run into the box, fainted to shot, before rounding the keeper and slotting home.
The Mali star took to Instagram to express his delight at scoring for Spurs, with van de Ven posting in the comments section ‘top goal’.

A positive start to pre-season from Tottenham
These games are all about getting those minutes in your legs and then the added plus point of trying to impress if you can.
Tottenham fans have all been saying the same thing about Archie Gray because he seems to be the talk of pre-season so far.

Gray secured a transfer to Tottenham from Leeds United this summer and many are excited by what he is going to produce.
There is every chance you can see the teenager lining up alongside Bissouma in midfield for the start of next season.
There is big pressure on the team next season and Tottenham fans will be hoping there is nothing in the rumour of England’s interest in Postecoglou.
