Manchester United are facing a few roadblocks after initially making a strong start to the summer window.
The Red Devils moved quickly to snap up deals for exciting youngsters Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.
They have also completed a move for Arsenal prodigy Chido Obi-Martin, who is set to be handed a first-team role under Erik ten Hag next season.
But since then, Manchester United‘s transfer machine has ground to a halt. They remain in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for Manuel Ugarte but progress has slowed.
Likewise, a double bid for Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui was rejected by Bayern Munich and there are now just days left until their season begins with a Community Shield clash against Manchester City.
United are also working on a number of outgoings, including Scott McTominay – who has been in talks over a move to Fulham.
Jadon Sancho future at Manchester United
The future of Jadon Sancho is also yet to be decided. From afar, it seems Sancho has mended the rift with Erik ten Hag after their fall-out last season.
The 24-year-old played a big role in United’s pre-season tour of the United States this summer, and was tested as a false-nine against both Liverpool and Arsenal.
HITC revealed that Juventus had an interest in Sancho earlier this summer, while Borussia Dortmund were also open to taking him on loan.
An offer of around £45million was understood to be enough for United to part ways with the winger.
However, Italian outlet CalcioMercato report that Juventus have “definitively abandoned” any pursuit of Sancho this summer.
Instead, they have turned their attention towards Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez and add that it would not be a surprise if Sancho stays put at United this summer.

Sky Sports report that Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in Sancho and have held talks with United over a potential deal.
Offloading Sancho this summer – and his hefty wages – would free up United to pursue some of their own transfer targets.
