Liverpool fans are still waiting patiently for their club to complete their first signing of the summer.
The Reds are the only Premier League team yet to welcome a new signing but they are growing in confidence that they can strike a deal for Martin Zubimendi.
They have been busier on the selling front with Fabio Carvalho joining Brentford in a £25million deal and four other players set to complete moves away.
But Liverpool will have to reinforce Arne Slot’s squad sooner or later and they are running out of time with the window slamming shut at the end of August.
Liverpool are in the market for attacking reinforcements with the future of Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez up in the air.
They have been urged to sign Ollie Watkins and have retained an interest in Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.
However, reports from Spain suggest they are still keeping tabs on a Real Madrid star.
Liverpool ready to pounce for £39m winger
According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are not missing “a single detail” on Rodrygo‘s future in Spain.
The Reds have shared a long-term interest in the Brazilian winger, who joined Madrid for £39million in 2018.
The report adds that Manchester City are also interested in a deal with Pep Guardiola a big admirer of the 23-year-old.
HITC confirmed in June that Liverpool contacted Real Madrid about the availability of Arda Guler and Rodrygo.
The arrival of Kylian Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu has put the future of Rodrygo in doubt with Vinicius Junior also expecting to start for the La Liga giants.

However, HITC revealed that Real Madrid are planning to keep hold of Rodrygo this summer despite interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.
Rodrygo scored 17 goals across all competitions for Madrid last season but could now lose his starting place in Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
