Nottingham Forest’s latest winger target is reportedly rebelling after the Premier League side failed to get a deal over the line.
Nuno Espirito Santo is preparing for his first full season at Nottingham Forest after replacing Steve Cooper during the first half of last season and the former Wolves manager is preparing for a second campaign at the City Ground.
The East Midlands side have been relatively busy during the summer transfer window with Forest signing Newcastle United’s Elliot Anderson and they have also signed Nikola Milenkovic.
Forest have also signed Jota Silva from Vitoria Guimaraes but it appears that the Portuguese winger may not be the only signing through the door.
Ramon Sosa prepared to ‘rebel’ as Nottingham Forest move stalls
Talleres winger Ramon Sosa is reportedly training alone as he waits for his move to Forest to be ratified but no agreement has been reached for the Paraguayan to move to the City Ground.
His current club, Talleres, issued a statement on their website on Wednesday over his future at the club, they said: “Considering several options, the conversations advanced with the club that the player expressed that he preferred and even resigning some initial conditions, an agreement was not reached.
“As the talks advanced, a maximum deadline was set to complete the negotiation and not continue to delay the situation which, if not resolved, would seriously harm us all.”
That would suggest the end of that saga, Argentine outlet Ole, however, have taken the story a step further as they claim Sosa has ‘rebelled’ against Talleres.
Sosa upset with Talleres over failed move
Sosa is reportedly upset with Talleres president Andrés Fassi, who has publicly stated that the Reds changed everything after verbally agreeing a deal.
The South American club have pinned the blame on Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, so it seems a deal is now far away from being complete despite the winger’s anger.
HITC reported last month that Forest were close to a deal for Sosa but that possibility now seems distant.
Sosa has refused to be part of the squad to face River Plate and has communicated that to the club’s sporting director, Cholo Guiñazú.
The report adds that the Paraguayan is more than willing to wait until the end of the transfer window to force through a move. This may not be the last we hear about Sosa in the current transfer window.
