HITC sources have confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a club record deal with Bournemouth for striker Dominic Solanke.

HITC revealed early on Friday that a breakthrough had been made by Tottenham in their talks with Bournemouth over the England international.

Solanke has a clause in his contract worth £65million that can be triggered by any of the Premier League’s “big-six” and Spurs have taken advantage.

Spurs and Bournemouth reach agreement worth £65m for Solanke

HITC can confirm that Spurs have indeed agreed a deal worth that £65million – although Bournemouth have agreed to take the money instalments, and £10million is also based on performances bonuses.

Sources have confirmed to HITC that Solanke already with Spurs officials on Friday ahead of concluding a medical over the weekend at their Hotspur Way Training Headquarters.

Personal terms are already in place with Solanke on a six-year contract that will be signed in the coming days.

HITC can also reveal that Liverpool are keeping close eye on the situation as they are due 20% of any profit made my Bournemouth which equates to just less than £10million – but is a welcome bonus for the Merseyside giants.

Liverpool benefit from clause created by Richard Hughes

Ironically it adds to the transfer pot of Anfield sporting director Richard Hughes, who negotiated he original deal for Bournemouth when they signed him from Liverpool in 2019.

The deal for Solanke represents a club record sale for Bournemouth, but also a club record purchase for Tottenham – just surpassing their signing of Tanguy Ndombele, who arrived from Lyon in 2019.

Despite the record outlay, Tottenham confirmed to HITC earlier this week that the purchase of Solanke was not dependent on them selling anyone such as Richarlison – who has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
