          Muhammad Saeed

Paul Pogba’s ban from football has officially ended on Tuesday and the French international is now available as a free agent.

Pogba was suspended from football by Italy’s anti-doping tribunal in February last year after a drug test found elevated levels of testosterone in his system.

The ban, originally scheduled to last until 2027, was reduced to just 18 months in October. A month later, Juventus terminated Pogba’s contract.

The World Cup winner will now be looking for a new team, and at still just 31 years of age, there won’t be a shortage of clubs looking to sign him; here are the three that would benefit the most from his services.

Yet another return to Manchester United could be on the cards for Paul Pogba nearly three years after leaving the club for the second time in 2022.

The Red Devils are in a mess at the moment, on track for their worst-ever Premier League points total, and although the league is a write-off this season, United are still in with a chance of winning the Europa League; their only shot at a trophy and a return to the Champions League next season.

With the squad decimated by injuries, particularly in the midfield, United need all the help they can get, and the addition of Pogba, who has excelled in the Premier League, could be exactly what Ruben Amorim’s side needs to go all the way in Europe.

The 2024/25 season has been an up-and-down one for Borussia Dortmund. Despite still being in the Champions League, the German side currently sit in 10th place in the Bundesliga, seven points adrift from the top four.

While the likes of Pascal Groß and Julian Brandt have done their best to find an answer to the creative ghost of Marco Reus after the club legend departed from BVB last season, a truly world-class midfielder in the centre of the park might bring a much-needed spark for Dortmund to climb the league table and push on in Europe.

After Pogba’s former Manchester United teammate Jadon Sancho found his game revitalised during a loan spell with Dortmund last season, perhaps the Frenchman could find his feet again just the same in black and yellow.

PSG have been on a mission this season. Kylian Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid last summer left the French side’s expectations for the 2024/25 campaign bleak, but Luis Enrique’s men have dominated thus far.

Paris Saint Germain have not lost a game in the league this season, and appear to have Ligue 1 title number 13 wrapped up, clear of second place Marseille by 16 points.

Still looking for that elusive Champions League title, the addition of Pogba could add yet more firepower to an already rampant PSG, and help them on their way to the club’s first-ever European Cup.
