Manchester City attacker Phil Foden has lauded Arsenal poster-child Bukayo Saka for how he bounced from the backlash he received after missing the decisive penalty against Italy in the Euro 2020 final.
The man himself revealed in December that Gunners legend Thierry Henry reached out to him after what was perhaps the lowest point of his glittering career.
As England are set to face Italy and Ukraine in the qualifiers for the European Championship qualifiers, Phil Foden has applauded Bukayo Saka for his positive reaction to the backlash after Euro 2020.

Even if the 21-year-old struggled to get back to his best self, it would have been completely understandable as the level of stick he received has no place in football.
But that just was not the case, as Saka continues to grow leaps and bounds, proving himself to be one of the finest wingers in the world.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Phil Foden gave Bukayo Saka his props due to his incredible reaction from the heartbreak and abuse that came his way right after Euro 2020.
“Definitely, I learn from him. From him missing that penalty, he’s turned it around with his performances on the pitch for club and country.”
“He’s such a nice lad and everyone loves him. He’s a big part of what we do here. It shows what a person he is. He’s such a young lad, he’s still developing and still learning about the game. For him to come back from something like that just shows the courage he’s got and how much he’s come on. I’m so happy for him.”
Phil Foden has hit the nail on the head as Bukayo Saka deserves a lot of respect for blocking the noise and showcasing his class on the pitch after the career-low he suffered at Euro 2020.
