Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Thomas Frank and the Brentford boss is now allegedly one of Daniel Levy’s top choices.

That’s according to the Daily Record, who have been looking at the Tottenham managerial situation from the perspective of Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.

They suggest that while Tottenham have an interest in Postecoglou, Frank is actually ahead of him in Levy’s thinking.

Antonio Conte looks set to leave his post as Tottenham manager very soon.

The way Conte criticised his players and the culture of the club means many believe his position is now untenable.

Conte was widely expected to leave Tottenham this summer anyway, but his exit could now be accelerated.

Tottenham will likely wait until the summer to land a long-term replacement and Frank could be a top target.

Thomas Frank has excelled at Brentford

Tottenham need to move away from managers like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte; they just don’t fit the club at all.

Frank fits the mould a little better in terms of his ability to adapt tactically.

The Dane has utilised multiple systems at Brentford rather than solely sticking to 3-4-2-1 like Conte.

Brentford have played some great football at times but they’re also not afraid to go long to Ivan Toney either.

Hailed as a ‘brilliant’ manager by former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara, Frank has proven himself to be a very flexible manager.

Frank has admitted that tactical flexibility is so important to him and that’s the kind of thing Tottenham fans want to hear right now.

The Guardian noted last week that Levy is a big fan of Frank because he has built Brentford into a quality Premier League side without needing huge money in the transfer market.

Conte always demands big money and big signings but Levy seemingly thinks Frank can suit the Tottenham approach a little better.

We don’t think Frank will be easy to lure away though. He has a really good thing going at Brentford and would have no reason to leave unless it’s for the absolute right project.

Frank is a name for Tottenham fans to keep close tabs on – even if many would probably rather have Mauricio Pochettino.
