Stan Collymore has compared Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton to Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison.
The former Liverpool striker has praised Joelinton in CaughtOffSide and has noted that Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has transformed him.
The 26-year-old Brazilian was playing as a striker for the Magpies before Howe moved him to midfield.
And the former Hoffenheim player is flourishing in this role.
Collymore has outlined the similarities he sees between Joelinton and Tottenham forward Richarlison.

Collymore wrote: “As for Joelinton, he’s a totally different story. He was a player that was just waiting to show us what he can do. He actually reminds me a bit of Richarlison.
“Joelinton is a player with exceptional physical attributes, he has a bit of tenacity about him and if a manager puts their arm around him and says ‘you are the best player in your position in the country’, he’s going to shine for you, and that is exactly what Howe has done with him, and now we’re seeing the effects of that.”

In our view, Joelinton is one of the best players for Newcastle United and has played a massive role for the Magpies this season.
One of the big reasons why Eddie Howe’s side are so close to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season is the form and performances of the Brazilian.
The Newcastle no. 7 has made 25 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
The forward has scored five goals and given one assist in those games.
Joelinton made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup for Newcastle this campaign.
The 26-year-old scored two goals and provided one assist in those games.
