Arsenal have now been mocked by Chelsea on Twitter with a two-word Tweet following a viral video posted by the Gunners.
The north Londoners received criticism from across the football community after sharing footage of their mascot being ignored by the Arsenal squad as they arrived for their 2-2 draw against West Ham.
Ally McCoist, Laura Woods and many more piled onto Arsenal as the little girl in question did not even receive eye contact from the players – now, Chelsea have contributed.
What’s the story?
Well, Arsenal‘s controversial video was captioned “making memories with our mascot” – a line which was ridiculed by thousands.
Chelsea have now posted footage of their players meeting fans at the Cobham Training Ground with the same caption, albeit in this video, there is much more engagement going on between the squad and supporters.
It is, quite clearly, a snide dig at Arsenal by Chelsea.
Nevertheless, Arsenal fans won’t be too bothered by the post, as they sit top of the Premier League while Chelsea languish down in 11th place.
Having said that, the Gunners could slip to second if they lose to Manchester City on Wednesday and the Citizens also win their two games in hand.
Chelsea could have more in store for Arsenal
Putting Chelsea’s tweet aside for a moment, the Blues, and Mykhaylo Mudryk, could pull off the ultimate gut-wrencher for Arsenal on Tuesday 2nd May.
As most will know, Chelsea hijacked Arsenal’s deal to sign Mudryk back in January, pinching the Ukraine international from Shakhtar Donetsk in an £88.5m deal.
Things have been difficult for the 22-year-old in west London so far with zero goals in ten Premier League appearances.
However, if Mudryk ended up being the one to score a winning goal against Arsenal on Tuesday 2nd May and kill their title hopes, it would be quite the story after the dramatic January transfer saga.
