Oliver Glasner expects to be managing Eintracht Frankfurt next season despite suggestions he could become the new Tottenham Hotspur boss.

Glasner has been speaking to German broadcaster ZDF following the 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

The Austrian was asked about his future amid claims he could end up leaving Frankfurt – possibly for Spurs.

Glasner statedas transcribed and translated by Derek Rae – that he assumes he will still be Frankfurt boss next season.

That’s maybe not a resounding commitment to Frankfurt but it’s about as positive as things have sounded lately.

Sky Germany reported in March that Glasner has rejected Frankfurt’s first offer of a new contract.

Glasner is out of contract in 2024 and Frankfurt seemingly fear that he will be moving on in the near future.

Glasner’s comments may just slow down rumours about a move to Tottenham though.

Bild claimed in March that Tottenham have made an approach to Glasner’s representatives as they seek a replacement for Antonio Conte.

This came after the Daily Mail claimed in March that Glasner was a target for Tottenham.

Glasner guided Frankfurt to the Europa League crown last season and actually faced Spurs in the Europa League this term.

Glasner has favoured a 3-4-2-1 system at Frankfurt and Spurs may feel that he wouldn’t need a complete squad overhaul to replace another manager who preferred a back three in Conte.

Frankfurt’s form has been pretty poor against the backdrop of these Glasner rumours though.

Saturday’s draw with Gladbach now means it’s seven Bundesliga games without a win for Glasner, taking just four points in that run.

This run doesn’t really help his Tottenham prospects but Glasner seems to think he will be staying put anyway.
