Crystal Palace star Michael Olise is now minded to ignore interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the end of the season.

That is according to a report from The Sun, who claim that Arsenal are watching Olise closely ahead of a possible summer move.

This comes after the Daily Mail reported in January that Arsenal are interested in Olise.

However, it’s now suggested that Olise isn’t all that interested in leaving Palace this summer.

The report claims that Olise is happy at Palace and wants another full season of development at Selhurst Park.

Olise feels settled in South London and isn’t desperate to make a jump to Arsenal or another Champions League club this summer.

That’s a major boost for Palace, who will be well aware that star winger Wilfried Zaha is looking likely to leave this summer.

Arsenal will surely keep tabs on Michael Olise

Olise was in simply stunning form last weekend.

The 21-year-old racked up three assists in a thumping 5-1 win over Leeds United, turning in an almost untouchable performance.

That display ultimately sparked questions about whether Olise could make a big move elsewhere.

Arsenal may just makes sense for Olise down the line, especially having spent time in the Gunners ranks as a kid.

Olise could offer competition for Bukayo Saka as a right-sided winger in Mikel Arteta’s side and he also has the ability to play as a central playmaker.

That kind of versatility would be ideal for Mikel Arteta and he has been hailed as ‘special talent’ by Patrick Vieira – a description that also suits the likes of Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, with young players thriving under Arteta.

Olise’s stance on a summer exit means Arsenal may now have to wait, but his history in the Gunners ranks and his immense potential means the Gunners will be keeping close tabs on him.
