Snapchat has introduced its own artificial intelligence, but how to text your AI on the app?

Artificial intelligence seems to be taking over the world lately. It all started when Chat GPT was introduced to the world and then companies like Google, Bing, and more, decided to make their own AI.

Now, Snapchat has also introduced its own AI in the hope of keeping up with the trend and pleasing its users.

How to text your AI on Snapchat

There are two ways that you can use to text your AI on Snapchat and these are mentioned below:

1. Use the dedicated My AI chat to have a conversation. This can be done by clicking on the chat icon at the bottom of the screen and looking for My AI. You will find this contact with a purple avatar.
2. The second method is tagging the AI in an ongoing chat. This is simple as all you are required to do is mention “@MyAI” in the chat followed by the prompt you want it to perform.

What we know about this new addition

My AI was introduced as a chatbot friend that can solve all the queries for people. Snapchat notes: “My AI can recommend birthday gift ideas for your BFF, plan a hiking trip for a long weekend, suggest a recipe for dinner, or even write a haiku about cheese for your cheddar-obsessed pal. Make My AI your own by giving it a name and customizing the wallpaper for your Chat.”

At the moment, all the conversations with the AI will be stored to understand how its performance can be improved. “All conversations with My AI will be stored and may be reviewed to improve the product experience. Please do not share any secrets with My AI and do not rely on it for advice,” Snapchat further added.

How to remove AI from Snapchat

To remove or delete the My AI from Snapchat, follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to the chat section by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the screen.
2. Press and hold on My AI contact.
3. From the list that appears, select chat settings.
4. Select ‘Clear from chat feed.’

You can also try another method and this is as follows:

1. Head to settings from your profile.
2. Scroll to privacy controls and select Clear Data.
3. Select ‘clear conversations.’
4. Click on the ‘X’ next to My AI to remove it from your conversations.
