» » » ‘The best’: Dele Alli & Joe Rodon impressed by £22m Tottenham player v Brighton

Dele Alli and Joe Rodon were just some of the players to react on Instagram to Son Heung-min creating Premier League history in the colours of Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The South Korea International became the first Asian player in Premier League history to score 100 goals. He reached that feat with a stunning curling effort to open the scoring during Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Brighton.

Whilst Son Heung-min has found life tough for large parts of this season, his goal and performance yesterday was the £22 million star (FourFourTwo) back to his best.

This time last season, he was pushing for the Golden Boot award, alongside Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.

But, fast forward to the present, and the duo are nowhere near that now, as Erling Haaland hits 30 in the colours of Manchester City and Kane has 23 to his name.

Nonetheless, when Son shared on his IG that he is ‘proud’ to have become the first Asian player to score 100 Premier League goals, Joe Rodon, who is on loan at Rennes from Spurs, posted in the comments section that his club teammate is ‘the best’.

Dele Alli simply wrote ‘My Brother’, Joe Hart applauded the 30-year-old and Kevin Wimmer said he is ‘number one’.

WILL SON FIND HIS MAGIC UNDER STELLINI?

There was the suggestion that a certain Antonio Conte will be ‘fuming’ with Son after his showing against Brighton because, under the Italian this season, he just never got going.

But if the 100-goal Premier League man can get back to his best during these final few weeks, then it would have come at the right time for a Spurs team that have ridden their luck in their last two matches.

Manchester United and Newcastle United are seemingly running away with a top-four finish and Tottenham’s performance, especially against Brighton, was one where they were fortunate to get three points.
