The social media app hosts a number of filters and effects that have inspired interesting trends across the platform. If you’re looking to hop on to this recent one, a few TikTokers have explained how it’s done.
Try the old effect on TikTok without the aging filter
Your efforts to find the right aging filter on TikTok will render useless because the “cool old” effect is available on FaceApp.
Once you have downloaded the app, scroll through different features until you find the one that says “Age”.
Under that, you will find a number of options, each representing a different age. To do the viral TikTok trend that makes you look old, you must select the “cold old” feature.
Apply the effect to your photo uploaded to FaceApp and save the final image, as you need to navigate a few options on TikTok to complete the trend.
Use CapCut to do the new trend
Once your final image from FaceApp with the cool old effect is ready, go back to TikTok. You need to find a TikTok which has the CapCup template used for the above trend.
Click on “Use Template.” Then, you need to add your old image first, the one from FaceApp with the old effect filter applied, followed by your young image.
And before you realize, an older version of you will be presented before your eyes. Most couples on TikTok have added the track Forever Young by Alphaville to their videos, but you can choose any music you think suits your aged picture the best.
