Tottenham Hotspur manager target Arne Slot has just scored a big win over former Spurs and current Roma boss Jose Mourinho.
Slot has emerged as a serious contender to become the new Tottenham manager.
The Feyenoord boss has worked wonders in Rotterdam and sits top of the Eredivisie table.
That has resulted in interest from Tottenham with The Times the first to report Spurs’ interest in Slot back in March.
The rumour has been accelerating and The Independent suggested just last week that Tottenham have been using ‘back channels’ to gauge Slot’s interest.
Tottenham aren’t likely to make a decision any time soon and Slot isn’t desperate to move on having become an absolute hero in Rotterdam.
Slot’s attacking style is certainly appreciated at Spurs though and Daniel Levy may have had one eye on Feyenoord’s fortunes on Thursday night.

Slot’s Feyenoord side played host to Roma in the last eight of the Europa League on Thursday evening.
A replay of last season’s Europa Conference League final – which Roma won – this instalment gave Slot a chance to get revenge on opposite number Jose Mourinho.
Feyenoord ended up running out 1-0 winners as Mats Wieffer’s superb volley handed Slot a narrow victory.
Few really expected the Eredivisie side to make it this far but Slot has worked wonders and picked up another big De Kuip win.
Roma did have their chances, none better than Lorenzo Pellegrini’s missed penalty in the first half, but went home empty-handed.
The tie isn’t over just yet as Feyenoord must finish off the job in Rome next week.
Still, this is a big result for Slot and another feather in his cap having picked up a great result against one of the greatest managers of all time.
Levy and Tottenham decision-makers will have surely paid close attention as one potential future Spurs manager saw off a former one.
