Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have been linked with Gavi, but the Barcelona midfielder does not want to leave Camp Nou in the summer transfer window.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has relayed on Twitter quotes from Gavi saying that he is happy at Barcelona and is at his dream club.

The Spain international has just won the La Liga title with Barcelona, and the 18-year-old midfielder has made it clear that he does not fancy leaving the former UEFA Champions League winners at the end of the season.

The Times have reported in March 2023 that Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in signing Gavi in the summer of 2023.

The report claimed that the 18-year-old “could become available on a free transfer because of a dispute over whether the Spanish club can afford to register” him.

There is reportedly a dispute between Barcelona and La Liga over Gavi’s contract.

Liverpool and Manchester City target Gavi on Barcelona future

Camp Nou stay

In our view, Gavi is not going to leave Barcelona for Liverpool or Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Yes, Barcelona are having financial issues at the moment, but we believe that the recently-crowned Spanish champions will somehow manage to get thing sorted in the coming months.

Gavi is one of the best young midfielders and is a huge talent, and there is no way that Barcelona will let the £124,000-a-week (SalarySport) youngster leave for free in the summer of 2023.
