Social media users are scarred for life by a video that’s making the rounds on Twitter, featuring a cat and a blender.
Traumatized TikTok users are urging one another to not share the highly disturbing clip. Many are also trying to trace down the origin of the video and the person behind the heinous act to report them to the authorities.
Despite the strict community guidelines and intolerance towards sensitive content, some disturbing images and videos find a way to stay live on social media sites for hours and sometimes days despite clearly violating the rules. Users are wondering why the cat in a blender video is yet to be taken down.
Disturbing cat in a blender video surfaces on Twitter

However, Twitter and TikTok are flooded with reactions to a video of a cat in a blender. While the origin of the clip is unknown, users are determined to have it removed and they are hoping that the person responsible for the inhumane act receives the deserved punishment.
Not only does the clip leave one traumatized, but many are taken aback by the fact that it managed to find its way on a platform like Twitter, despite its strict rules against gory or violent content.
Only to bring more awareness to animal cruelty, a number of Internet users are sharing videos featuring their reactions to the sad clip.
Viral clip leaves users traumatized
Several TikTok and Twitter users are actively talking about the viral video to stop others from watching it or sharing it further.
Meanwhile, a few others in shock are extremely disappointed with humans’ ill-treatment of voiceless animals.
One angry Twitter user shared: “You all are so messed in the head to be retweeting a cat in a blender. You’re getting blocked.”
“Putting a living cat in a blender mate, I do indeed wish that the person who did that will be getting their punishment,” said another.
“I want to cry. I just saw a video of a cat in a blender. Wth bro,” said another devastated user.
Another user said: “That person who put the cat in a blender, recorded it, and uploaded it needs to be punished. Why is that video all over Twitter? Mortified.”
Twitter’s policy on sensitive content and how to report
Twitter’s policy notes that the platform doesn’t tolerate media featuring content that’s found to be gory or violent in nature.
The site defines sensitive content as: “Media that is excessively gory or share violent or adult content within live video or in profile or header images. Media depicting sexual violence and/or assault is also not permitted.”
The only exceptions that may be made are for documentary or educational content.
As the cat in a blender video isn’t purposeful in any way and only violates the community guidelines, it can be reported as inappropriate. The Twitter team will review the content and proceed with the needed action.
To report the video, select the three dots on the top-right of the post and select the final option: “Report Tweet”.
Select the reason for flagging it from the drop-down, which includes “It’s abusive and harmful” and “It displays a sensitive photo or video”.
You will also get the option to either block the user who has shared the disturbing content or mute them.
