Stevie Nicol has told Newcastle United transfer target Christian Pulisic to ‘move on’ and leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
The Anfield legend thinks the USA international needs to find regular minutes away from Chelsea.
Before Todd Boehly entered the building at Stamford Bridge, someone like Christian Pulisic was struggling for game time and regular starts.
Well, now that Chelsea have spent over £600 million and they can put our two or three XI’s, then it only makes matters worse for Pulisic.
Either way, with the likes of Newcastle keen to take the 24-year-old on board, he has been sent a simple transfer message ahead of the window opening, as Nicol told ESPN.
“There are a lot of players that need to move on,” said Nicol. “The likes of Christian Pulisic, for instance.
“Christian has to move on and start playing somewhere regularly.”
PULISIC CAN SHOW HIS POTENTIAL AT NEWCASTLE
With Eddie Howe’s side set to secure Champions League football for next season, they need depth in quality if they are to cope with playing midweek games on a regular basis.
Just like Miguel Almiron, someone like Howe can also get the best out of Pulisic and turn him into a goalscoring wide man.
He has always had the ability, but constant injuries, lack of form, and game time at Chelsea have prevented him from taking that next step up.
