BBC MOTD pundit Ian Wright has raved about Chelsea youngster Noni Madueke and believes that he could explode next season.
The Arsenal legend has said on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:01pm, May 6, 2023) that Madueke, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, was “really good” for Chelsea against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea got the better of Bournemouth 3-1 away from home in the Premier League.
Madueke started the match and played for 76 minutes.
While analysing the former Tottenham Hotspur prospect’s performance on MOTD, Wright noted the number of times that the 21-year-old made the wrong decisions after initially doing well on the ball.
The former Arsenal striker believes that the England Under-21 international could become a big player for Chelsea in the future if he improves his decision-making.

Wright said: “You could see Chelsea have a real prospect on their hands in respects to the player. He looked really good today.”

We believe that Noni Madueke is one of the best young players around, and that he is the future of Chelsea.
The youngster joined the Blues from PSV only in the January transfer window.
And, as we all know, Chelsea have really struggled all season.
So, it has been even tougher for Madueke to be at his best at Chelsea.
However, there have been some very good signs.
The Chelsea no. 10 has made four starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League since his move in the middle of the season.
Madueke has scored one goal in those games.
Against Bournemouth, Madueke played really wide on the right-hand side.
While there were a few occasions when the English youngster should have taken a different option on the ball, he was a constant threat for the Bournemouth defence, was very silky in possession, and looked very threatening whenever he was on the run.
