Liverpool are in talks to sign Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram – two players on the radars at Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool targets Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram are on the radars of both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
That is according to 90Min, who claim that Liverpool have opened talks to sign both Kone and Thuram.
The Reds are speaking to the representatives of the two players in an attempt to pull off an exciting double deal.
Liverpool will seemingly sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister and now want to add both Kone and Thuram too.
They could face Premier League competition though with other clubs believed to be interested in Kone and Thuram.
Newcastle United wanted both players last summer whilst Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly keen too.
Those clubs have been scouting Kone and Thuram extensively as they eye up potential summer signings.
Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram could be a package deal
It may sound strange that all of these clubs have been watching both Kone and Thuram given that they don’t play for the same team.
Kone is in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach whilst Thuram plays for French side Nice.
So why are they seemingly on the radars of so many clubs in what could be a package deal?
Kone and Thuram actually go way back together having been in the ranks of French side Boulogne-Billancourt back in 2016.
The pair went their separate ways; Kone moved to Toulouse whilst Thuram joined Monaco.
They have remained great friends ever since their Boulogne-Billancourt days though and have even played together in the France ranks.
Kone and Thuram have played 11 times together across games with the France Under-18’s, Under-19’s and Under-21’s, losing just once.
Liverpool seemingly want to reunite them at Anfield, but Arsenal and Tottenham may yet have the same idea.
