West Ham United are interested in Roma’s Tiago Pinto amid claims that he is in contention for a job at Tottenham Hotspur.
Roma chief Tiago Pinto is on the wish list at West Ham United as they consider replacing Mark Noble.
That is according to TalkSPORT, who claim that West Ham want to hire Pinto as their new transfer guru.
Noble was only appointed as West Ham’s sporting director in January but is already moving into a different role.
Noble is instead going to move into youth development, paving the way for West Ham to revamp their recruitment setup.
Roma’s Pinto is the top target in what seems like an ambitious move.
Pinto served as Benfica’s director of football between 2017 and 2020 before moving on to Roma.
Now sporting director of Jose Mourinho’s side, Pinto has played a key role in Roma winning the Europa Conference League last season and reaching the Europa League final this season.
Prising the 38-year-old away from Roma won’t be easy – especially with West Ham facing rival Premier League interest.

Pinto’s work has been recognised by West Ham’s London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Tuttomercatoweb reported last week that Tottenham have already held direct talks with Pinto in London.
Other candidates were suggested in that piece but Tottenham seem to have a real interest in Pinto.
Tottenham may not be huge fans of Mourinho but they seem to like the recruitment ace above him.
Hailed as ‘world class’ at Roma, Pinto has provided Mourinho with some quality signings to get his managerial career back on track.
Mourinho has now been linked with a move away from Roma and, if he leaves, a departure may be tempting for Pinto too.
West Ham have lofty hopes of luring Pinto to London but must prepare for a situation where he joins Tottenham instead.
