The Times reported this weekend that Arsenal are determined to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Journalist José Félix Díaz has reported on Twitter that Bayern are close to completing a deal for Rice.
The reporter, who has had his work published in Marca and has appeared on ElChiringuito, has over 177,000 followers on Twitter.

Reputable British publications such as The Express and Metro have relayed that information.
Now, this is a very shock claim.
Yes, we know that Bayern Munich are interested in Rice, but with West Ham playing in the UEFA Europa Conference League final on Wednesday evening, it does seem a bit strange that the the Hammers and the midfielder would be doing transfer deals now.
Moreover, there is nothing in the British press at the moment claiming that Arsenal are about to miss out on the signing of Rice to Bayern.
