Chelsea are open to selling Kai Havertz amid interest from Real Madrid, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that Real Madrid are interested in signing Kai Havertz from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti personally wants the 23-year-old attacker at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Romano has added that Chelsea are open to discussing a deal for a permanent exit for Havertz, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder and earns £150,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).
However, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners want a good transfer fee for the Germany international and will not send him out on loan.
Romano wrote: “Real Madrid have concrete interest in Kai Havertz. He’s one of the players in the list, really appreciated by Ancelotti. #RealMadrid
“Understand Chelsea are open to discuss Havertz exit but they want important fee, no way for loan & similar.”
Chelsea should think twice about selling Kai Havertz to Real Madrid
In our view, Chelsea should not rush into selling Kai Havertz to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Madrid are arguably the biggest club in the world, and Ancelotti is one of the greatest managers of all time.
If Los Blancos and Ancelotti want Havertz, then clearly it means that the Germany international is a very good player.
Havertz is still only 23, and while the German has not always been at his best for the Blues, managerial changes have not helped.
Mauricio Pochettino is the new Chelsea head coach now, and the former Tottenham Hotspur boss is known for working well with young players and improving them.
We believe that Chelsea should not sell Havertz in the summer transfer window.
