» » » 'You'll be back': Rice & Bellingham react as Aston Villa & Everton target suffers blow

Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice sent their best wishes to AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham after he suffered a long-term injury which could now rule him out of a summer transfer to either Aston Villa or Everton.

Both clubs were seemingly keen on the 25-year-old’s signature, but on the last day of the 2022/23 Serie A season, Tammy Abraham suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which could rule him out of 2023, according to BBC Sport.

When the Italian-based hitman reacted to that news on Instagram, in the comments section, he received a number of well wishes, with Jude Bellingham telling him ‘Get well soon Tam’, whilst John Terry added: ‘Speedy recovery mate’, Paulo Dybala told him ‘we will wait for you, brother’ and Declan Rice added ‘you’ll be back stronger bro’.

It is now the road to recovery for Abraham and trying to get back on the pitch as soon as possible because he can’t miss too much football with Euro 2024 around the corner.

The only fortunate thing is that he has a clean summer ahead where he can rest and recover properly, then hope that he heals quickly enough in time.

Of course, it means that he is going to miss the start of next season, which is another blow because there could have been every chance that he could have returned to the Premier League.

Premier League interest in Tammy Abraham

Despite only scoring eight Serie A goals this season, Abraham was still high on the list of some Premier League club’s transfer lists.

Two of them were Unai Emery’s Aston Villa and Sean Dyche’s Everton, the latter, in particular, are in need of that striker after surviving relegation again by the skin of their teeth.

Whereas Abraham has worn the Claret & Blue colours before and he is an Aston Villa crowd favourite after helping the team earn promotion back to the Premier League by scoring 27 goals under Dean Smith.
