Meet Nellie in The Horror of Dolores Roach
Nellie Morris works as a cashier and server in the Empanada Loca shop, the central location of The Horror of Dolores Roach.
She is an innocent bystander to the murderous crimes committed by the titular Dolores who accidentally begins an ever-lengthening killing spree.
The shop’s owner Luis covers up Dolores’s actions by using her victims as the ingredient in his popular new batch of empanadas.
As the series draws to a close and the net tightens around Dolores and Luis, Nellie finds herself at the heart of the case as she is framed for the murders and arrested by police.

Who is Kita Updike?
Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana and now based in New York, Kita Updike is a trans actress and model of Chippewa and African American descent.
Having completed shoots for Vogue Italia and T: New York Times Style Magazine, her career is very much on an upward trajectory.
In the world of acting, Kita made her on-screen debut in 2017. She also has a plethora of experience on stage, working with companies including The Public Theater, Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and LAByrinth Theater Company among others.
Like many actors in the modern industry, Kita is highly active on social media, most notably on Instagram, where she posts behind-the-scenes pictures from her life and work to a current following of just over 3,300 at the time of writing.
Kita Updike’s previous roles explored
Kita Updike made the transition from stage to screen in 2017 when she appeared in the movie The Misandrists where she appeared as the character Isolde.
Since then, the actress has appeared in a handful of productions, including the TV shows These Thems and Dispatches from Elsewhere as well as the short film Zolita: Fight Like a Girl.
The most notable role on Kita’s acting resumé to date actually came in the Spotify podcast that inspired The Horror of Dolores Roach where she voiced Nellie, the same character she plays in Prime Video’s TV adaptation.
