Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are reportedly trying to secure a deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the summer of 2024.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal are interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the summer of 2024.
Arsenal Sporting Director Edu is personally trying to make a deal happen.
Edu made contact with Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis last week to ask about the availability of the £93,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker.
Arsenal have reportedly been given encouragement by the 24-year-old Nigeria international’s agent.
The Gunners want to bring in a world-class number 9 next summer to continue to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title in the coming years, according to Football Transfers.
The report has added that Osimhen does not want to sign a new deal with Napoli.

Osimhen is 24 now and is still relatively young.
Next summer, Osimhen, who was described as “incredible” by former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli on Instagram in May 2023, will be 25.
The former Lille striker’s best years are ahead of him, and under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, he could improve.
Osimhen has scored three goals in two Serie A matches this season.
The Napoli no. 9 scored 26 goals and gave four assists in 30 Serie A starts and scored five goals in five UEFA Champions League starts for Napoli last season.
The striker helped Napoli win Serie A last season.
Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season and will also look to make a positive impact in the UEFA Champions League.
