After a summer of upheaval and big changes, Daniel Farke’s Leeds United are starting to pick up and look like the real deal in the Championship.
On Saturday, Leeds United brushed aside Watford 3-0 at Elland Road, with Georginio Rutter bagging himself an assist.
After struggling in Yorkshire when he initially signed in January, the all-action forward is now starting to feel at home and showcase his true form.
The 21-year-old took to Instagram after Leeds’ win over Watford to express his delight at the three points and the also ‘big’ clean sheet.
In the comments section of Georginio Rutter’s post, his former Hoffenheim teammate and Bundesliga star Kevin Akpoguma compared him to ‘Zidane’.
There were a lot of verbals thrown at many of these Leeds players during the past 12 months, but it’s also fair to sing their praises when they are delivering the goods on the pitch, which they are doing now.
Georginio Rutter praise
On top of the young French star being compared to Zidane, he was also lauded by the Leeds United faithful in the comments section of his IG post.
Also, Joel Piroe, who opened the scoring against Watford, added ‘my little brother’, whilst Liam Cooper sent fire emojis.
Leeds looking dangerous
Daniel Farke’s side have entered the play-off picture during the early stages of the new season.
During the next few months, you will expect the Championship table to take shape and this is where Leeds will be hoping their firepower just blows teams away.
