The Internet star recently had her TikTok account removed after online controversy surrounding Benitez allegedly disrespecting Veterans Day traditions, a federal holiday in the United States for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
An online petition was set up to encourage Marlene Benitez’s social media accounts to be deleted, claiming that the social media personality had ranted about the federal holiday in a live video.
Since her TikTok account, which originally had millions of followers, was later removed, false rumors surrounding her death then began to spread online.
Over on Instagram @marlener3131 has debunked the death speculations by making lighthearted jokes about the rumors.
Marlene Benitez is also using her Instagram account with over two million followers to encourage fans to help get her TikTok account recovered.

Since the social media drama, variations of the phrases “Marlene Benitez dead” and “Marlene Benitez murio” began trending online. However, the creator is reportedly alive and active on her Instagram page (@marlener3131).
In the comment sections of videos on another account with the username @marlene2995_, many viewers began to write condolence messages such as the phrase “Rest in Peace.”
Amid the false death rumors, a TikTok video was created showing what appears to be footage of a car crash and a photo of Marlene Benitez.
In the TikTok video, a voiceover translates to the phrase: “Those were the last moments of Marlene’s life.”
The viral clip has now reached over 6 million views, more than 99,000 likes and a comment section full of confused condolences as people question if Marlene Benitez is really dead.
