Jungkook’s brother reminisces about the past
Jungkook has an older brother named Jean Jung Hyun. While he keeps a low profile, BTS fans did not take long to find him on Instagram. Recently, Hyun took to social media to post a photo of the singer ahead of his enlistment.
In it, Jungkook can be seen cutting his hair. Along with it, Hyun wrote: “Seeing the training center entrance ceremony, I was reminded of 10 years ago and it felt somewhat strange. Take care and see you soon.”
Hyun is two years older than Jungkook and the two share a close bond and are always supporting one another.
K-pop star sends farewell message
On December 12th morning, Jungkook decided to come on Weverse Live to talk to his fans. In it, he thanked everyone for their constant support and assured them that he would be back soon.
He said: “Thank you so much for supporting us until we all enter the military. Take care. Stay healthy and happy. I’ll miss you guys. Take care. I haven’t mastered the salute yet since I haven’t enlisted but after completing training, I’ll salute you all.”
He ended the Live by adding: “I love you all. I’ll come back stronger. Goodbye, take care. Bye-bye. I love you, love you guys.”
When did all the members enlist?
Jin was the first member of the band to get enlisted as he started his process in December 2022. Following this, J-Hope decided to move forward with the same in April 2023.
The third one to head out on duty was Suga who began his enlistment in September 2023. However, unlike the others, the singer will be doing social service agent as he was “ruled unfit for the regular combat duty” and will serve as a social service agent” due to his hand injury.
On the other hand, RM and V enlisted on December 11, followed by Jimin and Jungkook, who enlisted on December 12. The band is expected to reunite in 2025.
