Bayern Munich executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claims Harry Kane immediately responded to him to discuss a move away from Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham fans probably knew that Harry Kane’s time was up after a dreadful season for the club last season.
Kane was still incredible but Spurs as a club fell well short of aspirations in a chaotic season.
Kane just couldn’t wait around any longer and decided to leave the club for a big-money move to Bayern Munich.
The 30-year-old has smashed 22 goals in 19 appearances for Bayern but sits four points behind Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen.

The hope for Bayern is that having a world-class striker like Kane will help them down the line in the Champions League, as well as in the Bundesliga.
This was a big deal for Bayern and for German football in general; we are more used to seeing the Premier League raid the Bundesliga than the other way around.
Bayern legend and board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has now opened up on the move whilst speaking to the Daily Mail.
Rummenigge claims that he texted Kane in order to just float the idea of a move to Bavaria.
Rummenigge added that Kane replied almost immediately, which he felt was ‘not the norm’ in the modern era.
There was seemingly an expectation that Kane would take a while to reply – as many do – but he replied immediately, seemingly showing his desire to make the move happen.
“I texted him telling him that I would like to talk to him on the phone and he answered within two minutes, which is not the norm in the WhatsApp world,” said Rummenigge.
Kane was clearly ready to move on but we don’t think his relationship with Tottenham is ruined by any stretch of the imagination.
Yes, the move hurt Tottenham fans who were no doubt hoping that Kane would stay and play out his career as a Spurs icon.
We still think that there is the potential for Kane to return to Tottenham and send his career with the club though – and Spurs would be hoping for a similarly swift response on any move after hearing about his communication with Bayern.
