Juventus may be ready to sell Mathias Soule for around £23 million in January with Premier League pair Newcastle United and Crystal Palace sending scouts to hold talks over the talented Argentine.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are likely to employ a sell-before-you-buy strategy in pursuit of Atalanta’s Dutch international midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.

And, with Koopmeiners likely to test the depths of The Old Lady’s purse – Atalanta want in excess of £40 million – Juve are reportedly willing to free up funds by cashing in on two of their most exciting young talents.

Samuel Iling-Junior could be snapped up for as little as £13 million. Tottenham Hotspur are keen to bring the England Under 21 ace, once of Chelsea, back to London.

A further £23 million, meanwhile, could be enough to convince Juve to give up Soule too. Newcastle United and Crystal Palace reportedly met Allianz Stadium director Cristiano Giuntoli ahead of the 2-1 win away at Monza a fortnight ago, with both clubs expressing their interest in the twinkle-toed Soule.

Newcastle United and Crystal Palace in for Juventus starlet

The 20-year-old forward is on loan at Frosinone this term. Soule already has six goals in just 13 starts, cutting in from the right onto his favoured left boot like his idol Lionel Messi.

“Obviously, I’m inspired by Messi. I love him because he is a fellow Argentinian,” Soule tells DAZN, the Messi influence clear to see in his dynamic dribbling and his keen eye for goal.

“I also liked (Eden) Hazard when he played at Chelsea and Neymar at Barcelona. I’m always trying to dribble. Then, if I find enough space, I try to pick out my team-mates with through balls.”

Italy boss Luciano Spaletti admitted recently that he was keen to hand Soule an Italy call-up, only for the youngster to make it clear that he is only interested in following in Messi’s Albiceleste footsteps.

“He can (play as) the right winger in a 4-3-3 but he could also play as a midfielder, given that he has so much quality,” Frosinone sporting director, Guido Angelozzi, tells Tuttomercatoweb.

“Having had (Domenico) Berardi at Sassuolo, he reminds me of him. If he finds consistency with scoring goals, he will become a stratospheric player.”

At Newcastle, Soule would give Eddie Howe further quality in the wide areas, providing competition for Anthony Gordon, Miguel Almiron and co. Crystal Palace, however, already have the exceptionally-talented Michael Olise playing in Soule’s preferred position on the right.
