Michael Dawson has given his verdict on Wolverhampton Wanderers winger and Arsenal target Pedro Neto after watching him in action against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The former Tottenham defender was hugely impressed with Neto this past weekend and thinks that he will leave Wolves at the end of the season.

So, what has Michael Dawson said about Arsenal target Pedro Neto? Let’s take a look.

Arsenal target Pedro Neto tipped to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers

Well, Michael Dawson has said that he will be surprised if Wolverhampton Wanderers are able to hold onto Pedro Neto next season.

The Sky Sports pundit was hugely impressed by how Neto played for Wolves against his former club Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this past weekend.

The Portugal international provided a brilliant assist and was also a threat during his time on the pitch.

Former Spurs defender Dawson was following the match for Sky Sports, and he has tipped Neto, 23, to leave Wolves for a bigger club.

As HITC revealed last week, Arsenal are interested in signing Neto in the summer transfer window. Wolves are willing to sell the winger, but they want £60 million for him. Liverpool are also keen.

Dawson told Sky Sports: “Neto, look, I am sorry to the Wolves fans, I am sorry to Wolves Football Club, but if he is still there next season, I will be surprised, I really really will. I think he is that good. I think he will go on to a bigger club.”

My View: Arsenal could do with signing Pedro Neto

In my opinion, Arsenal could do with signing Pedro Neto from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window.

Yes, I understand that £60 million is a lot of money to pay for a 23-year-old attacking player, especially when Arsenal need to sign a top-quality striker first.

Moreover, Arsenal do have very good wingers. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are brilliant wide players. Martin Odegaard is the playmaker-in-chief for the Gunners.

However, Neto is a very versatile player who can play as a winger, central attacking midfielder or centre-forward. And, he is only 23.

I believe that Neto would be a valuable option to have for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. He would make the Gunners better and more potent.

The winger has scored 11 goals and given 19 assists in 107 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
