Alan Pardew has noted a problem that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou will now face with goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
The former West Ham United manager and talkSPORT pundit thinks that opposition teams in the Premier League will now target Vicario.

Well, Alan Pardew has been looking back on Tottenham Hotspur’s failure to win against Everton this past weekend.
Spurs are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, while Everton are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship.
However, Tottenham could not beat the Toffees at Goodison Park. The match this past weekend finished in a 2-2 draw.
Guglielmo Vicario was in goal Spurs and did not have a good game. The 27-year-old Italian could have done better for Jack Harrison’s goal and should have certainly been braver for Jarrad Branthwaite’s headed effort.
Former Newcastle United manager Pardew was not impressed with Vicario. The talkSPORT pundit thinks that opposition teams will now target the goalkeeper.
Pardew said about Vicario on talkSPORT (8:39 pm, February 4, 2024): “They were pummelling Vicario yesterday at set-plays and they were obviously targeting him, and that’s a bad sign for Spurs because all Premier League managers watch things like that and they all will be like going to the set-play man tomorrow, ‘Make sure when we play Spurs, we are going to put in on him, Vicario, because he did look uncomfortable’.
“Tottenham need to get a procedure around that because they didn’t have anyone bossing the player who was irritating the goalie. They need to address that.”
My View: Ange Postecoglou will figure out a way
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou will figure out a way to help Guglielmo Vicario from set-pieces.
The match against Everton was not the first occasion when Vicario has been in trouble from set-pieces. And, I am sure that Postecoglou will have noticed that.
I think that the former Celtic manager will figure out a way to help the 27-year-old Italian goalkeeper.
Tottenham are doing extremely well at the moment and could end up in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
Spurs are fifth in the league table now with 44 points from 23 matches, two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.
