Harry Kane left Tottenham Hotspur in the summer to win trophies and his decision to leave for Bayern Munich was going to guarantee him that.

But fast forward to the present, and whilst the player himself is scoring for fun, it seems as though that much-wanted trophy is going to allude to him.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are ten points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, and in truth, their only hope is to win the UEFA Champions League.

But Jamie O’Hara made it clear that he simply doesn’t want Harry Kane to win Europe’s biggest prize after just leaving Tottenham because it would prove that the 30-year-old was right to leave the London club.

Those comments were well and truly slammed by Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil who agreed that it was ‘shocking’, as they told talkSPORT (06/03/24 at 7:55 am).

The duo were keen to point out that Harry Kane is Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer and he was nothing but a ‘fantastic servant’ to the club.

But that was lost on Jamie O’Hara, who watched the very same player draw a blank when Spurs were beaten in the Champions League final by Liverpool in 2019.

Harry Kane and the Champions League

“That’s shocking,” responded a shocked McCoist

Brazil then added: “Hold on, Chunk (O’Hara). Stick this in your pipe and smoke it, Chunk.

“So the final of the Champions League is Arsenal vs Bayern. Are you going to stand by that, are you? Are you going to stand by that?”

McCoist then continued: “That’s a good call. He has been a fantastic servant to your football club. Top-scorer and a brilliant captain. He has done everything by the book

“How can that be? I know football fans, we are all warped, I accept that. But come on!?”

Harry Kane helps Bayern Munich beat Lazio

Whilst everything is going wrong for Bayern in the Bundesliga, it seems as though those troubles will follow them in Europe.

After falling 1-0 behind in the first leg against Lazio, there was a lot of pressure on the team to overcome the narrow deficit.

Who steps up? None other than Kane with a brace as Bayern have now booked their quarter-final ticket.

If Kane does win the European Cup, then it would be something that the first trophy he lifts is the biggest one of them all for a club footballer.
